Problem in working ubuntu

Hi all

I am using ubuntu hardy
My ubuntu login screen is dimming always and also it has slow connection whenever it loading each application example mozzilla

I would like to stop the extra services in my ubuntu?

I would like to make faster my ubuntu

Then only i can like it but i love it

What i have to do?

Why dont you have a Swap space of 2 Gib? It could help you speed up your PC.

If you are not using any bluetooth devices then you can avoid bluetooth services from loading at startup from System > Administration > Services menu.
